Finance Operations Manager and Risk Management Administrator
Annapolis, MD (March 6, 2019) – The City of Annapolis is seeking to fill two positions in the Finance Department. Both are open to external and internal candidates. The closing date for both vacancies is March 18, 2019.
FINANCE OPERATIONS MANAGER
This is advanced level professional administrative work in areas such as budgeting, procurement, personnel, records management, contract administration, office automation and general office management including supervision of accounts payable staff members. Contacts include department heads, managers and employees both within and outside the Finance department for the purpose of resolving administrative problems, providing recommendations and agreeing on courses of action. The employee in this position works closely with the Office of Law with regard to contract language and the City’s Finance Committee and Financial Advisory Committee with regard to budget development.

RISK MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATOR
Directs the City’s Risk Management Program; performs technical and administrative duties associated with that program; and does related work as required. Analyzes, investigates, evaluates, vehicle claims, general liability claims, workers compensation claims and any other claims to assess opportunities for cost savings; Monitors risk-related investigations and provides progress reports and statistical summaries; Serves as staff to the Risk Management Policy and Operations Groups and prepares reports and assessments for those groups. Assists the general public, claimants, management, employees and others to assist with the resolution of claims; Coordinates workers compensation cases with Human Resources and departmental representatives to address light duty, work hardening, return to duty and disability concerns.
