City of Annapolis Office of Emergency Management

Monitors Flooding Friday through Saturday

 

Annapolis, MD (March 1, 2019) – The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory beginning Friday at noon. The forecast includes the following high tides of note for City Dock on Saturday, March 2:

  • 2.6 feet at 1:49 a.m.
  • 3 feet at 3 p.m.  


Water is expected to pond in the parking lot at City Dock. The highest forecasted flood levels could also impact the intersection of Compromise Street and Newman Street. There could be a possibility of temporary road closures and alternate traffic patterns in affected areas. Please use caution in the area.


Do not drive around barricades or through standing water. Remember: turn around, don’t drown.


A reminder that tomorrow, March 2, the Women’s Unity March will take place starting at 1 p.m. The march permits have the event ending at Susan Campbell Park.
