City of Annapolis to Open Warming Center 

at Stanton Center in Annapolis 

 

Annapolis, MD (March 1, 2019) – The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures in the 20s and teens during overnight hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mayor Gavin Buckley has announced that the Stanton Center will open Monday, March 4th from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Tuesday, March 5th from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and Wednesday, March 6th from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. as an overnight warming center for individuals who need this service. Referrals should report to the Stanton Center by 9 p.m. to check in.


Any individuals interested in long term shelter or support should contact Justin Bieler of the Department of Social Services at (410) 269-4749.

The Stanton Center is located at 92 W. Washington Street in Annapolis.
