Annapolis, MD (1-13-19) The Annapolis Recreation and Parks "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center will be closed today, Sunday, January 13, due to the snow. All Recreation and Parks activities scheduled for today are cancelled. The Annapolis Department of Transportation is operating buses on the regular Sunday schedule today. Anyone in need of shelter should call the Annapolis Office of Emergency Management at 410-216-9167.
Annapolis Public Works is responding to a Phase I Snow Emergency. Please avoid traveling to let the plow crews clear the roads. If you must travel, please slow down and exercise caution. Several minor traffic accidents were reported to police overnight. The roads are slippery and snow covered. The City of Annapolis remains under a Winter Storm Warning. We can expect more heavy snow before 11 a.m., then a mixture of snow and sleet with a high near 34 degrees. Snowfall should continue throughout the day and stop around 2 a.m. Monday, January 14.
