Alderwoman Henson to serve as Acting Mayor October 3-17
Annapolis, MD (09-27-18) – Due to unexpected travel to visit his ailing mother in Australia, Mayor Gavin Buckley has designated Alderwoman Shaneka Henson as acting mayor from October 3 through October 17.
En route to Australia, from October 3-5, Mayor Buckley will attend the National League of Cities’ Fall Policy Round Table in Silicon Valley. At the invitation of the NLC, Mayor Buckley will attend several meetings about innovation and technology in cities. He will then continue on to Perth, Australia.
No public funds will be used for the Mayor’s travels or expenses.
