The next time you are visiting the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center be sure to stop by the new Rainscaping Education Station located in front of Ballfield 1. The Station is a faux house frame that includes examples of rainscaping techniques, gutter and downspout directed to a rain barrel and educational signs. The signs are attached to faux windows sharing ways in which you can help clean up our waterways at your home, school and on community buildings – RainScaping Works Everywhere! The rain water collected at this Station will be used to water a garden to be planted in the immediate area.
Reduce runoff – slow it down, spread it out, soak it in!
