Annapolis, MD (4-30-18) – Starting tomorrow, May 1, approximately 500 Friday customers who receive City of Annapolis curbside refuse and recycling collection will begin collection on Tuesdays and Thursdays (see map). The change is needed to rebalance the collection route for improved efficiency. The City’s Department of Public Works began public notification of the collection date change in March, with a reminder in April, to help inform the affected customers. On the images pasted in this email, residents in Area A will have their collection date moved from Friday to Tuesday (east side of Bay Ridge Avenue from Monroe to Warren). Residents in Area B will move from Friday to Thursday (east side of Bay Ridge Avenue from Victor Parkway to Georgetown Road). A complete list of affected streets is detailed as well.
Customers are encouraged to recycle as many items as possible in the larger 64-gallon containers, which are available free of charge at DPW’s location at 935 Spa Road. Plastic bags are no longer acceptable to contain recyclables curbside and cannot be disposed of inside the recycling containers.
