Paving to begin in Knightsbridge community, off Gemini Drive on Monday
Annapolis, MD (March 29, 2018) – Paving will begin on Regent Street, Castlegate Drive, Damsel Lane, and Jousting Court in the Knightsbridge community on or about Monday, April 2, 2018. This work will take approximately four weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The steps of this operation will be milling the pavement surface, patching of failed areas, preliminary paving, adjustments of utilities, and final paving.
Once construction begins, parking will be prohibited from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M., Monday through Friday, until the work is complete. Parking will be permitted at night after 5 p.m. and until 7 a.m. the next morning, and over the weekends, starting Friday at 5 p.m. through Monday at 7 a.m. Vehicles parked in the "No Parking" zone between 7 A.M. and 5 P.M. will be relocated.
Please be aware that crews will work on multiple roads with multiple tasks. Residents may not see crews working on a particular street every day. Unless crews anticipate being gone from a certain area for an extended period, the "No Parking" signs will remain up throughout the project.
During this project, it will be necessary to periodically close the street or travel lanes and control traffic with flagging crews.
If residents have any objects located within the road right of way, such as basketball backboards or other items, please remove them prior to April 2, 2018.
The City thanks residents for their cooperation and patience during this project. If you have any questions, please contact the project manager, Jenn Feight, by e-mail at jmfeight@annapolis.gov or Samuel Brice at smb@annapolis.gov. Please direct phone calls to Public Works Utilities at 410-263-7970.
