[ARCHIVED] Recycle your tree on Wednesday, January 10 - City of Annapolis Curbside Yard Waste Resumes

City of Annapolis Yard Waste Collection Update

(Annapolis, MD 1-5-18) – The City of Annapolis Public Works Department will resume regularly scheduled yard waste curbside collection on Wednesday, January 10. Due to the back-to-back Monday holidays, curbside trash and recycling pick up was rescheduled Christmas and New Year’s week to Tuesday and Wednesday, eliminating the past two Wednesdays’ normally scheduled yard waste days.

Residents who normally receive curbside yard waste pick up by the City’s Public Works are encouraged to recycle their Christmas tree with their yard waste.  Before setting out the tree at the curb for recycling, all lights, garland, and decorations should be removed from the tree.  If the tree is greater than 6 feet in length, residents are requested to cut the tree down to a maximum of 6 feet prior to collection.

There will be regularly scheduled yard waste on Wednesdays through May.  There will NOT be any further disruptions to the City’s regularly scheduled trash, recycling and yard waste collections until Memorial Day week at the end of May, weather permitting.

Residents are urged to check the City’s website (www.annapolis.gov) and download the app “Prepare Me Annapolis” to check on any weather related or emergency notifications.
