[ARCHIVED] Flooding Downtown - Streets Closed

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is monitoring the severe flooding that is has impacted the Downtown/City Dock area this morning as well as the Coastal Flood Warning that has been issued.


The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning from 5:54 am this morning until 1:00 pm this afternoon.


Water levels were estimated at 3.6 ft. (MLLW) around 6:00 am this morning. The next high tide will be at 8:36 am.


Compromise St. and Dock St. are both closed due to severe flooding. Public Works has placed variable message signs and barricades .

OEM will continue to monitor this situation, and provide additional information and alerts as needed.


Please do not drive around barricades or through any standing water.
