WHO: Mayor Michael Pantelides, members of Annapolis City Council, representatives from Maryland Emergency Management Agency, along with other state officials, local environmentalists, business owners, and other interested individuals.
WHAT: In the wake of early hurricane predictions, calling for a total of 12 named storms, six hurricanes, and two major hurricanes during the upcoming hurricane season, Mayor Michael Pantelides continues to search for innovative ways to help mitigate flooding and storm surge. He has asked two companies to bring their flood control products to Annapolis and demonstrate their ability to diminish damage to the city and its businesses if a storm were to make landfall near Annapolis.
