Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announces the City of Annapolis and downtown businesses are joining together to clean up Downtown Annapolis.
During the week of May 8-12, employees of the City’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will act as team leaders for local businesses as everyone gets down and dirty, cleaning up the city during the first annual Spring Cleaning Event.
While the businesses are responsible for cleaning up the sidewalks in front of their buildings, DPW will be cleaning around the city’s downtown facilities and the City’s parking management company, SP+, will be spring cleaning at the city parking garages. The city encourages everyone to use environmentally friendly cleaning solution and bring a little extra elbow grease to help us make downtown Annapolis shine.
Local businesses, including those along Main Street, Church Circle, State Circle, West Street, Maryland Avenue, Dock Street and Market Space, are gearing up to tidy up Annapolis!
DPW crews will be available all week to advise and support local businesses. For more information, call Mayor Michael Pantelides’ Office at 410-263-7997.
