School Children Get Involved
Annapolis, Md. (4-7-17) –Mayor Mike Pantelides invites residents to attend the city’s annual Arbor Day event.
The event will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 20th at the West Annapolis Elementary School, located at 505 Melvin Avenue in Annapolis.
The Annapolis Office of Environmental Policy and the West Annapolis Elementary School organized the event, which will include planting a Redbud tree donated by BGE.
Arbor Day was first observed in 1872 with the planting of more than a million trees in Nebraska.
