City of Annapolis Offices Closed on 
Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving Holiday 

ANNAPOLIS, MD (November TK, 2022) - The City of Annapolis will close City offices on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. 

  • Annapolis Transit: On Thanksgiving Day, November 24, Annapolis Transit will not operate. On Friday, transit services will operate on a normal schedule. 

  • Refuse and Recycling: Thursday collections will be moved to Friday and Friday collections will take place on Saturday. 

  • Annapolis Recreation and Parks: the Roger “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center and Stanton Community Center will both be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday). Both Pip Moyer and Stanton Center will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday. 

“Thanksgiving is a time for turkey and pie, but it is also a time to reflect on what we are grateful for,” said Mayor Gavin Buckley. “I hope your time with family and friends can be a time to share your gratitude and joy.” 

Additional Annapolis Holiday Updates:

  • The City of Annapolis will continue the annual tradition of offering three hours of free parking at metered spaces between Black Friday (Nov. 25) and New Year's Day. Get a fourth hour free by using the ParkMobile app on your smartphone and entering the code “ParkDTA.”
