City of Annapolis Government Offices Closed on Monday, September 5 in Observance of Labor Day
Annapolis, MD (August 30, 2022) – City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day.
Refuse and recycling collection will be affected by moving the collection date for Monday (Labor Day) and Tuesday by one day. If your normal collection day for refuse, recycling and yard waste is on Monday, the collection will occur on Tuesday, September 6th; if your normal collection day is Tuesday, the collection will occur on Wednesday, September 7th. Anyone with questions about collection dates should call the Department of Public Works at 410-263-7949.
On Labor Day, Annapolis Transit and the Circulator will operate on a Sunday schedule. For more information, go to http://bit.ly/2Ymj3XH. Annapolis Transit offices will be closed. The Annapolis Parking office will be closed, however all other services will operate as usual.
The Pip Moyer Recreation Center, the Stanton Community Center and the Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park will all be closed on Labor Day.
WEEKEND ADVISORY:
First Sunday Arts Festival will be held on West and Calvert Streets on Sunday, September 4th beginning at 11 a.m. The streets and parks on West and Calvert Streets will be filled with artists and music. West Street from Church Circle to Calvert Street will be closed until the event concludes at 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.firstsundayarts.com.
