In the last 96 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 452 calls for service and arrested 27 people. 

Burglary – 201700000186 – Unit block of Hicks Av – 01/12 at 12pm to 01/13 at 7am:  Installed copper wiring and tubing were stolen from a home under renovation.  There were no signs of forced entry to the home.

Theft of Copper – 201700000206 – Unit block of Wardour Dr – 12/15 to 01/14:  Two copper downspouts were stolen from the home.

Stolen Vehicle – 201700000220 – Unit block of Eastern Av – 01/15 from 12pm to 3:30pm:  A silver 2008 Nissan Titan pick up truck, MD 6BH8081, was stolen.

Homicide – 201700000229 – 700 block of Newtowne Dr – 01/16 at 3:08am:  Officers responded for a report of a possible shooting and located an adult male shooting victim in the area.  George Forrester, 40, of Severn was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center where he died from his injuries.  Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective John Murphy at 410-260-3439 or jhmurphy@annapolis.gov.  You can also call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-877-7LOCKUP and submit an anonymous tip.  If your tip leads to an arrest or indictment you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. 

Theft from Vehicle – 201700000231 – 400 block of State St – 01/15 at 8pm to 01/16 at 2pm :  Ryobi, Makita, and Festool power tools and miscellaneous hand tools were stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle.

Burglary – 201700000237 – Unit block of Silopanna Rd – 01/17 at 3:35am:  The adult male resident noticed his garage light was on and the door to the garage was ajar.  He found two adult male suspects inside his garage, which had been left unlocked.  The two suspects fled when confronted.  Nothing was stolen from the garage.
