[ARCHIVED] Anne Arundel County Releases Two Draft Plans for Public Comment

Anne Arundel County has recently released two draft plans, with direct implications for Annapolis, for public comment.

The first, the Parole Town Center Draft Master Plan, aims to transition the area into a more walkable, bikeable and transit-oriented community and to mitigate the auto-dominant character of its development. As Annapolis' immediate neighbor to the west, we encourage everyone in the Annapolis area to ensure the plan and its recommendations for Parole represent your ideals and vision: https://www.aacounty.org/departments/planning-and-zoning/long-range-planning/parole-plan/

The second, the County's Vision Zero Plan, has a chief goal of a dramatic reduction in traffic and pedestrian fatalities in Annapolis and  Anne Arundel County through a variety of roadway safety measures including improved conditions for bicyclists and pedestrians. Provide your feedback here: https://www.aacounty.org/services-and-programs/vision-zero

As we continue our work on Annapolis Ahead 2040, our citywide Comprehensive Plan update, we are coordinating with the Anne Arundel County on their planning efforts and plan to reference their plans. For this reason, your perspective as Annapolis residents is very important. Please take a moment to review the drafts linked above and provide your feedback.
