In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 71 calls for service and arrested 6 people. 

Stolen Vehicle – 201600005732 – 1000 block of Cedar Ridge Ct – 12/26 at 11:50pm to 12/28 at 10:45am:  A dark grey 2006 Acura MDX SUV, MD reg. IM0067, was stolen.

Burglary – 201600005741 – 1000 block of Norman Dr – 12/28 from 6pm to 6:30pm:  Officers responded for a report of possible shots fired inside the building.  Upon arrival they discovered damage to the door to one of the apartments.  It was determined no shots were fired, but the occupant of another apartment used a hammer to damage the door to gain entry to the apartment and once inside he damaged a TV.  The suspect was located and indentified as John Higgins, 63, of Annapolis.  Higgins was arrested and charged with burglary and destruction of property.  He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.

City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City offices will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2017.  There will also be no citizen fingerprinting offered on Monday, January 2, 2017.  Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, January 9, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.
