Protests and Vigils on Sunday June 7 in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 7, 2020) – The City of Annapolis is expecting two events in the City on Sunday. There may be traffic delays and disruptions. 

The first event will begin at 12 p.m. and is a march from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to Susan Campbell Park.  The route is Taylor Avenue to Rowe Boulevard onto Northwest Street around Church Circle and down Main Street.  Streets will be closed as marchers move through the area. A cooling bus will be set up by the Harbormaster’s office. Restroom facilities available at Harbormaster’s office. Buses will be available to return marchers to Navy Stadium at 2:30 p.m. from a retrieval point at Bladen Street and College Ave.

The second is a vigil at 8 p.m.at Susan Campbell park at the end of City Dock with guest speakers, a mural of George Floyd and musical guests expected. Dock Street will be closed to parking after 7 p.m. Park for FREE at Hillman Garage (between 7 and 10 p.m.). Entrances to Gorman are at 158 Duke of Gloucester and 150 Gorman Street. Expect traffic delays in the area.
