Mayor Gavin Buckley Statement on the
Death of Shooting Victim

ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 18, 2020) – Over the weekend, Annapolis Police reported on the death of Colin Flannigan, 23 of Annapolis. He succumbed to his injuries Friday after being shot on Wednesday, May 13 and taken to the hospital.

“ His passing is a tragedy for his loved ones and for the City. A shooting is not what any of us want in any community in the City of Annapolis. We have been working to address gun violence on a number of fronts,” said Mayor Gavin Buckley. “It is a matter for police, but it is also about addressing social inequities and the circumstances that drive people to solving problems through violence. We are holding tight the family of this young man.”
