Yard Trim Collection

All yard trim must be placed in approved container or bundled.  NO PLASTIC Bags.  

Yard trim can not be placed loose in the street for collection.  Also, yard trim may not be placed in a storm drain or inlet as this prevents storm water from flowing properly.

On your collection day, we collect your yard trim which includes:

  • Grass
  • Leaves
  • Tree limbs and branches
  • Straw

Please remember,  we do not collect the following on your yard trim collection day:

  • Dirt
  • Sod
  • Gravel
  • Rocks
  • Flower pots
  • Broken tools
  • Bamboo
  • Pumpkins
  • Trash

Use these helpful hints for a trouble-free yard trim collection

  • 3-YardTrimMake sure you use your Green City yard trim cart.
  • If you need more room after filling your cart, use paper bags or a container marked with an "X" to identify that it is yard trim.  Please do not use the BLUE City recycling containers.
  • Bundles should be no longer than 2 feet by 4 feet in size. Tie branches, vines and brush together with natural fiber rope or twine so that they can be picked up as a bundle. No limbs or branches may be larger than 4 inches in diameter.
  • Containers, bags or bundles should weigh less than 50 pounds.
  • should be placed in your green City yard Trim cart, with overflow 4-Cart-button placed in paper bags or containers marked with an "X" or in bundles.
