The City of Annapolis police offers a new mobile app
The Annapolis Police Department has a free mobile application (app) for smartphones that allows you to receive real-time alerts and immediate access to the latest police department news, crime maps, and social media accounts.
The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store for iPhones or the Google Play Marketplace for Google devices. Find the app quickly and easily by searching for Annapolis Police.
The app provides residents and visitors with real-time alert notifications pushed to the user’s smartphone. Annapolis Police supervisors quickly put out information about road closures, missing persons, and other emergency police incidents via the app.
The mobile app provides a “one stop shop” for police department information. The app provides links to daily police reports and press releases, crime maps for Annapolis, crime prevention tips, the police department event calendar, as well as direct links to the department’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr accounts. Users can also find a listing of important police department phone numbers, including the anonymous tip line.
Residents are not able to report crimes through the app and are encouraged to call 410-268-4141 or 911 in an emergency to report crime or suspicious activity immediately.
