The duties of the commission are to accept complaints relating
to discrimination, to survey practices and conditions in the areas of
public accommodation, employment, housing, recreation, employment, and
education. To make recommendations concerning legislation, to advise and
counsel business entities, and to mediate disagreements.

The commission can accept complaints of discrimination on the basis of:
Physical or mental disability
Source of income

Commission members are available to make presentations about its work
to community, civic, neighborhood, business, nonprofit, religious and
other organizations in Annapolis. Likewise, the Commission is eager to
schedule talks at its meetings by representatives of groups involved in
