Volunteer for Annapolis Recreation & Parks!

Throughout the year Annapolis Recreation and Parks (ARPD) seek volunteers to help make their programs possible and most importantly, successful. Whether through special events, programs, or facilities, there are many opportunities to get involved.

To note: All volunteers working with children must be background checked. Volunteer training is provided and sometimes required, for the Department’s programs and events.

  • GreenScape (spring) and Make A Difference Day (fall)

GreenScape is a volunteer effort that encourages and supports individuals and organizations to plant and maintain native gardens in public areas throughout the City of Annapolis. The City provides plant materials, mulch, trash bags and gloves; the community provides volunteers who want to make a difference in Annapolis. The spring event date is always close to Earth Day and the fall event date is on Make A Difference Day.  If you have any questions, please contact Marisa Wittlinger at mdwittlinger@annapolis.gov.

Please review the Volunteer Protocol and Contact Information to learn more.

To volunteer in a park, all participants must complete the Volunteer Activity Waiver.
