Cub Scouting is fun! No matter what grade you are in, first through fifth, it can be a blast!
This volunteer-based program is in partnership with St. Anne's Episcopal Church of Annapolis. The Homework Club helps to strengthen the academic skills of elementary, middle and high school students. All students receive homework assistance and school project assistance. Low-performing students receive tutoring in math and reading. Participants also have access to 12 computers with Web access. The program ends with a Homework Club Banquet to recognize students for their in-school honor roll and perfect attendance accomplishments and for their after school Homework Club accomplishments. Program takes place Monday through Thursday, 3-6 p.m. beginning mid-September. The Maryland Food Bank will provide a hot supper for each student at the end of each Homework Club.
"The Stanton Center Homework Club is an organization sponsored by Annapolis Parks and Recreation and supported by community volunteers. It is a place for elementary and middle schoolers to go to receive homework help and personal tutoring. The program needs volunteers to be successful. Every effort you give to the homework club will change your life along with the child you affirm and support." -Nate Strang
