In a partnership with Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), the Stanton Community Center offers an Adult Basic Skills (ABS) class leading towards a General Educational Development (GED®). Classes are designed for students who do not have a high school diploma and need to review and improve basic reading, math and language skills. Students in ABS classes may be referred to the GED Test Prep classes once these skills have been improved.
To be eligible for the ABS classes, students must be age 17 or older and be officially withdrawn from high school. The classes are held every Saturday, excluding holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Stanton Community Center's computer laboratory.
To register for this class, please call 410-777-1845 to make an appointment for an assessment session before starting class. For more information about ABS and GED® Test Preparation classes go to AACC Adult Basic Skills.
