Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission Police Officer requirements include:
Must be at least 21 years old (at least 20.5 when entering the academy)
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must have a valid driver's license
Must not have any felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
