Fitness at PMRC
Due to health safety, you must bring your own mat to work out at PMRC, and your own water bottle (there is a refiling station next to the restrooms upstairs.) Masks (face coverings) are not required inside of Annapolis Recreation and Parks facilities at this time but they are strongly encouraged.
Check out the Fitness Center features!
The fitness center is located in the "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center (PMRC) at Truxtun Park. The fitness offering at PMRC consists of cardio, strength training, fitness classes and personal training to help you achieve our fitness and wellness goals. We offer Fitness Specialists by appointment to help you learn about specific equipment, prepare workout routines, aid you in your fitness goals and provide you with hands-on guidance as needed.
Fitness classes are "drop in" style meaning you don't need to sign up in advance/reserve space. However, popular classes fill up fast so we encourage you to arrive a few minutes before the start time for those. Fitness classes are included with 30-day, 90-day and Annual Memberships (and Punch Card Memberships when sold periodically as promotions.) Non-members may attend a fitness class by paying the daily drop-in fee City of Annapolis Resident $15 / Non-Resident $19.
For Memberships to PMRC, please contact Melissa Brown at mnbrown@annapolis.gov or go to Membership Information and Rates.

Matrix strength training & cardio machines at PMRC
Listening to member feedback in the first 10+ years that the facility was open, along with keeping up with fitness trends, a new Matrix series of strength training and cardio equipment was purchased and installed in the "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center in the last year. The Matrix brand is often found in workout areas on college campuses and with the Planet Fitness company. All of the Matrix machines have a QR Code which allows you to learn about the machines on the spot. It's as simple as scanning the QR code to your smartphone and then a YouTube instructional video will appear phone. This is a self-taught approach to training. However if you have questions, please see a staff member. Signs are posted in and near the strength training room with the QR code information.
