The Environmental Stewardship program for area businesses extends to households, restaurants, lodging, retail stores, office buildings, schools and places of worship, and automotive establishments. Certified businesses will receive a certificate and window stickers to show their commitment to the environment. 

Procedure

If you would like to certify your business, download the appropriate workbook below and follow the enclosed directions. After a business submits their application, they must meet with staff prior to being awarded certification. This gives our office staff an opportunity to suggest additional improvements.

Free technical assistance and resource referrals are a key part of the program. This free voluntary certification program is part of the City's Sustainable Annapolis initiative. For more information call 410-260-2200.
