During the summer and fall of 2011, Toole Design Group and the City Steering Committee were hard at work. The public meetings and the community walk website generated over 500 public comments all of which have guided the Bicycle Master Plan process to create a long lasting bicycle transportation program.
Commission Meetings
The Master Plan was reviewed and approved by the following City Commissions:
- Transportation Board on Wednesday, September 21, 2011
- Planning Commission on Thursday, October 6, 2011
The Planning Commission meeting on October 6 was a public hearing format where the Commission received a presentation on the Plan, heard public comment and voted to approve recommendation to the City Council for adoption into the City's Comprehensive Plan.
Plan Adoption
The resolution to formally adopt the Bicycle Master Plan was on the City Council agenda in February 2012 and was approved without hesitation.
