The starting salary for an entry level Firefighter is $41,775.63. The salary after completion of Fire Academy is:
FF/EMT-B $44,015.42
FF/EMT-P $48,278.20
Steps in becoming a Firefighter/Paramedic
Application - 300 accepted on October 21, 2016 starting at 9 a.m.
Written Exam - 4 testing times, 100 candidate capacity per exam
Physical Agility Test - To be announced soon
Background investigation
Interview
Once these steps are successfully completed, candidates are placed on a list for a minimum of 1 year.
