Annual Statistics

The Annapolis Fire Department is an all-hazards emergency service agency that provides the following:

  • Bomb squad services
  • Emergency medical services
  • Fire suppression
  • Hazardous materials technical response
  • Marine rescue/firefighting
  • Response to weapons of mass destruction
  • Technical rescue response

These services are carried out by 3 engine companies, 2 truck companies, and 4 advance life support paramedic units. The department utilizes a rescue/hazmat squad dependent on staffing from an engine company and a fire boat dependent on staffing from an engine company. The Fire Marshal's Office Investigation Section provides the staff and equipment for bomb squad activities. The department provides non-emergency services including fire prevention/life safety, fire investigation and public education.
