Transient Moorings

Transient moorings cannot be reserved. They are available first-come, first-serve. When you have chosen a transient mooring, call us to submit payment: 410-263-7973

Rates

Front Forty: #1 - 40 $35 per night
The largest mooring field is just off Susan Campbell Park as you enter Spa Creek; for vessels up to 55 feet.

Saint Mary's Cove: #41 - 60 $25 per night
Just past the Spa Creek Draw Bridge, on your starboard side; for vessels up to 35 feet.

Well's Cove: #61 - 66 $35 per night
Continuing further west up Spa Creek past the Number 3 day marker, on your port side; for vessels up to 55 feet.

Truxtun Park: #67 - 71 $35 per night
Further up past Well's Cove, also on your port side, is the final mooring field located in Spa Creek; for vessels up to 55 feet.

Back Creek: #72 - 76 $35 per night
Located between Bert Jabin's Yacht Yard and Port Annapolis in Back Creek; for vessels up to 55 feet.

The seventh night is free if you stay for a week and pay in advance. Sorry, refunds are not available if you decide to leave earlier.

Transportation

Policies

  • The checkout time is noon of each day.
  • If you wish to take your boat off of the mooring at any time, your mooring becomes available to other boaters unless a dinghy or tender is secured to the buoy pendant.
  • Rafting on the moorings or docks is prohibited.
  • No commercial activity is allowed on City moorings.

Water Taxi Service

Watermark Cruises runs a taxi service in Spa Creek and Back Creek that will pick you up from your vessel and take you to various parts of the City. They can be reached at 410-263-0033 or on VHF 68.

Annual Moorings

Annapolis City Code allows for boat owners the opportunity to apply for an Annual Mooring Permit at approved locations in City Waters. The applications are available at the Harbormaster's Office, and the fee schedule is listed below. Review the application for more information.

The fee to be added to a waiting list is $50. There are four separate waiting lists for Weems Creek, Spa Creek, Back Creek, and the Severn River. The fee applies to each individual waiting list when applying to more than one location. See the waiting list application here.

Once a private annual mooring buoy becomes available in the according wait-list location, the annual application fee is $50.

The fee for the Annual Mooring Permit: residents, the annual cost is $1,200; non-residents, the annual cost is $2,000.
