PMRC Community Offerings

The following community organizations host programs at the "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center. We encourage you to reach out to these groups to learn more about their offerings!

*NEW in 2023* Anne Arundel Community College hosts classes at the "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center!

  • Improve your English Skills! Free English Basic Skills classes for adults start in January 2023. These classes are for students who are just beginning to study English. Classes address listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Students develop English language skills for everyday life and work. The first class is Monday, January 23; classes will be Mondays & Wednesdays, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. These classes are offered at no cost to all eligible students.   • Earn your Maryland High School diploma by taking a class to prepare for the GED test! This free class is for students 18 or older who do not have a high school diploma and need to prepare for the GED® exam. The class includes all four subjects required to pass the GED® test:  math, science, social studies and reasoning through language arts. The first class is Wednesday, February 1; classes will be Mondays & Wednesdays, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Interested individuals must attend an orientation prior to registering for this class.
