Chief's Advisory Team

The Citizen’s Advisory Team acts as a sounding board for the Chief and Department and a think tank for new ideas or approaches to community concerns.

Team members will be expected to honestly and openly share community safety needs and feedback about the department’s delivery of services, assist the department in educating the community about the police department, and attend meetings regularly.  Members are also be asked to complete a Citizen Police Academy and participate in ride-alongs with officers.

It is important for the members to represent a range of interests and experience and to come from diverse backgrounds. Members were chosen to serve for their professionalism, integrity and commitment to their community. Members should be prepared to engage in productive dialogue and treat each other with dignity and respect.

For more information contact Corporal Dave Stokes  at 410-268-9000 ext. 5821 or dstokes@annapolis.gov

The application deadline has passed. Membership opportunities will reopen when vacancies occur and after members have served a two year term. The Chief's Advisory Team is not a Citizen Review Board.
