During the Holidays, refuse amounts typically increase by 25%.
This year, let's increase recycling by 25%.
After the Holidays, remove all lights, garland, and decorations from your tree. Then set your tree at the curb for recycling. If your tree is greater than 6 feet in length, consider cutting your tree down to a maximum of 6 feet prior to collection.
In addition to all the other items you can recycle, be sure to also recycle:
holiday paper - gift wrap, tissue paper, gift bags
greeting cards envelops
cardboard, gift boxes, wrapping paper rolls
items made from a rigid plastic such as children's toys and storage containers
Please flatten boxes prior to placing them in the recycling container.
The City encourages residents to bring electronics such as PCs, laptops, printers, telephones, keyboards to our Public Works Services Facility located at 932 Spa Road to be recycled.
