S.A.F.E. School Programs

The Annapolis Fire Department wishes to express appreciation for your support of the Safety and Fire Education (S.A.F.E.) Program.

Pre-K - Kindergarten

Friendly Firefighter - The student learns to go to the firefighter because he is friendly. The firefighter dons and doffs their fire gear so the student can see what we look and sound like. This program lasts about 30 minutes.

1st Grade

Community Helper - The student learns about the fire station and how a firefighter is a community helper. This program lasts about 30 minutes.

2nd Grade

Home Escape Planning - The student learns the importance of 2 ways out of every room in their environment. This program lasts about 30 minutes.

3rd Grade

Hazard House - The student is presented with a model house filled with hazards and interacts with the instructor and identifies and cleans up the hazards. This program lasts about 30 minutes.

4th Grade

Make the Right Choice - The student will learn the importance of making good decisions and the consequences of illegal fire play. This program lasts about 45 minutes.
