In most cases, the victims left their vehicles unlocked. The Annapolis Police Department is asking for your help in preventing thefts from vehicles by taking some simple steps to protect yourself. Many of these crimes could be avoided by simply locking your car. Property crimes are often crimes of opportunity and thieves look for unlocked cars. Always remember to lock your car. Cell phones, CD players, Ipods, #### Here are today’s reports – Robbery - On Destruction of Property - On Theft from Vehicle - On Theft from Vehicle - On The victim's girlfriend told police that her car had also been entered and the suspect had ransacked the glove compartment and center console. Nothing was taken. The vehicle had been left unlocked. Theft from Vehicle – Officer’s on patrol on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 were flagged down by a citizen in the 300 block of Forbes Street who told them that her vehicle had been ransacked and her Ipod was taken. The victim said that her vehicle was parked on the back parking lot of building 308. The vehicle was not locked. Three other vehicles in the same parking lot were also broken into. ANNAPOLIS POLICE DEPARTMENT DAILY REPORT Breaking and Entering - On Monday, March 1, 2010 at approximately 9:52 AM a victim reported a break in at an unoccupied house in the unit block of Steele A glass window pane in the living room area had been broken. Nothing was taken. The house is unoccupied and for sale at this time. The Crime Lab responded and processed the scene.
