Ground Breaking on Annapolis Water Treatment Plant Project

WHO: Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides, Annapolis Alderpersons, Maryland State Senator John Astle, Maryland Department of the Environment Secretary Robert M. Summers, Project Executive for the Design-Builder CDM Smith/Haskell Joint Venture Peter Kinsley, Heery/Atkins/HDR Owner’s Representative Team, Annapolis Department of Public Works Director David Jarrell, Annapolis Water Treatment Superintendent James Fitzgerald, Water/Sewer Program Manager Thora Burkhardt, Project Manager Lily Openshaw, project team members, and other elected and invited guests.
WHAT: The City of Annapolis will break ground on the new 35 million dollar Water Treatment Plant project, the largest construction project in the City’s history, updating aging infrastructure with a new state-of-the-art facility
: Adjacent to the existing Annapolis Water Treatment Plant, located at 260 Defense Highway, in Annapolis. The gate will be open to allow vehicles up the hill into the parking lot.
