Naval Bagels Expands to Meet Customer Demand

Annapolis, MD (2-5-14) Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides and Annapolis Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) President and CEO Lara Fritts are pleased to announce the expansion of Naval Bagels at their Annapolis location.

Naval Bagels, located at 609 A Taylor Avenue in Annapolis, recently expanded the square footage of their restaurant by 3,600 square feet. The expansion is responsible for helping to create 19 jobs in Annapolis.

“I have been a big fan of their bagels for years, and I’m also a big fan of the family’s community outreach,” Mayor Pantelides said. “They give back to the community in so many ways. They sponsor a number of local charity events, while supporting Naval Academy Athletics and the Chesapeake Bayhawks.”

The Annapolis Naval Bagels is owned by Sean and Dara Adams and has been a family owned and operated business since 2000. It is a full service bagel shop, serving everything from a bagel with a smear to the number one selling lunch time sandwich, the Avocado Delight.

“There is always a great group of characters hanging in the lobby, with plenty to read while you wait,” Sean Adams said. “Check out the white board for inspirational quotes, trivia, birthdays, tides and art work. And oh yeah, if you have time to eat in, check out the local newspapers hanging on the wall to get your daily news fix.”

Naval Bagels is open 7 days a week. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  For more information, go to or call 410-263-1344.

“Naval Bagels is a gathering spot,” Lara Fritts said. “The fact that a business has this kind of community support and can expand to the extent they did, says as much for the City’s love of  Sean and Dara as it does for their love of bagels.”

Naval Bagel had its official grand opening and ribbon cutting January 16.
