Annapolis Police Conducts Alcohol Checks

The Annapolis Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance operation of establishments that hold liquor licenses within the City of Annapolis on December 5th and 6th, 2013.  The inspections were conducted to assure compliance with the City of Annapolis’ liquor ordinances and liquor license rules and regulations.  Detectives were joined by two 20 year old Maryland State Police Cadets and one 18 year old Cadet.  During the two nights, 115 liquor establishments were inspected and 111 were in compliance.  Four were not: 

  1. Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West St, was cited for the service of an alcoholic beverage to an underage person.
  2. Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge, 169 West St, was cited for the service of an alcoholic beverage to an underage person.
  3. Portside Mart, 1005 Monroe St, was cited for the service of an alcoholic beverage to an underage person.
  4. Back Creek Café & Boat Supply, 7310 Edgewood Rd, was cited for the service of an alcoholic beverage to an underage person.

Those who were not in compliance were cited and the citations were forwarded to the Liquor Board for administrative action.
