Annapolis Memorial Day Parade – Sign up to Participate

Annapolis, MD (5-15-13) Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen invites all interested groups and patriotic organizations to participate in this year’s Memorial Day Parade.

To register as a parade unit, go to http://bit.ly/10M14tR.  All units must be preregistered. Walk-up units will not be permitted to participate.  The deadline sign up is Monday, May 20.

For everyone who plans on attending the parade, it will take place on Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m.  The parade route begins at Amos Garrett Blvd and will follow the annual route around Church Circle and down Main Street.

A memorial ceremony will follow the parade at Susan Campbell Park, co-hosted by the City of Annapolis and the Fleet Reserve Branch #24.

To accommodate the Memorial Day parade, Amos Garrett Blvd. and Constitution Ave. will be closed at 8 a.m. so that units participating in the parade may assemble. At approximately 9:45 a.m. all streets along the parade route will be closed. Before and after the parade, the Circulator will be running between all City parking garages.  Just watch for the blue trolley and wave it down.  The ride is free.

In the event of severe weather the parade will be canceled and will not be rescheduled.
