CrossFit Old Bay Comes to Annapolis
Annapolis, MD (4-23-13) Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen and Annapolis Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) President and CEO Lara Fritts are pleased to welcome CrossFit Old Bay to Annapolis.
CrossFit Old Bay, located at 1981 Moreland Pkwy- Building 4b (Bay 3) in Annapolis, keeps workouts short, fun, but intense by taking the best and most efficient movements from sport. Using gymnastics, weightlifting, calisthenics, kettle bell training, running, jumping, rowing, and even tire flipping, expert instructors at CrossFit Old Bay help make athletes of all levels better.
“CrossFit Old Bay has an inviting and enthusiastic environment, promoting exercise, no matter what your ability or fitness level,” Mayor Cohen said. “This facility offers our residents an alternative to the traditional gym or fitness center and appeals to a wide range of athletic ability.”
Owned by Ellen Gallagher, CrossFit Old Bay is an 8,100 square foot physical fitness training facility in Annapolis. They offer group classes in strength and conditioning following the CrossFit method. While their facility is modern, their methods tend to be “old school.” They look to human power over machine power and have very few items in the wide-open gym that plug in other than the clock and the stereo system.
“You can never be too young or too old to be in good physical condition,” AEDC President Lara Fritts said. “Annapolis offers so many options and diverse opportunities when it comes to fitness. I know CrossFit Old Bay will be a welcomed addition to our City and we wish them much success.”
