Transportation Board to Hold Public Hearing

City of Annapolis Transportation Board to Hold Public Hearing on Creation of a Taxi Stand at Newman Street

The City of Annapolis Transportation Board will consider the creation of a taxi stand along Newman Street, opposite the Downtown Playground. The taxi stand is proposed to be in effect from 6:00 p.m. to midnight seven days a week.

The Board offers the opportunity for interested parties to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental impact of the proposed projects, at the public hearing and through the submission of comments.

The public hearing will take place in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, 21401 at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday January 30, 2013.

In addition, the Board would welcome an open discussion regarding the creation of other Taxi Stands in the City, particularly within the downtown area and in the vicinity of hotels.
