The Soccer Post Scores in Annapolis

Annapolis, MD (9-7-12) Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen and Annapolis Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) President and CEO Lara Fritts are pleased to welcome The Soccer Post to Annapolis.

The Soccer Post, located at 19 Lincoln Court, is a specialty store meeting the needs of soccer players and enthusiasts of all ages. It offers footwear, apparel, accessories, and team uniforms that carry major brands including adidas, Nike, and Under Armour.

“It’s a win-win for a business when you have a sport that is enjoyed by so many people on so many different levels,” said Mayor Cohen. “The fact we have City and County leagues that serve both children and adults is another example of the enduring appeal Annapolis has on our sport enthusiasts.”

Soccer Post is the largest chain of soccer stores in the US and Owner Blake Sonnek-Schmelz brings it to Annapolis. The store carries the largest selection of soccer cleats, soccer shoes and footwear, soccer uniforms, training and coaching equipment and gear for soccer fanatics.

“The Soccer Post will be a real asset to our City which supports so many soccer clubs and leagues,” AEDC President Lara Fritts said. “I guess you could say soccer players and fans will score a ‘gooooooal’ at the Soccer Post.”
