Non-Essential Water Use Order Lifted

Cooling Centers Open

Annapolis, MD (7-1-12) Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen announced the non-essential water use order for the City of Annapolis has been lifted. The Water Treatment Plant has full power and all water tanks have been filled to normal levels.
 
As of noon today, there are approximately 2,000 people in Annapolis without power.
 
The cooling centers remain open. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center will be open until 6:00 p.m. and the Annapolis Senior High School will be open until 7:30 p.m.
 
The Emergency Operation Center Call Center is operational for all non-emergency questions related to the power outages. Call 410-260-2211.
 
Roads are closed at 6th Street & Severn Avenue and at Burnside Street at State Street due to down power lines.
