Downtown Maryland Day Events

Annapolis, MD (3-22-12) Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen invites residents to get involved in Maryland Day events while supporting local Scouts and local businesses.

Take a stroll through downtown Annapolis, stopping for a break at the MainStreets Annapolis Partnership Pocket Park (122 Main St.) on Saturday, March 24, from Noon through 4 p.m.  There you will find information and souvenirs unique to Annapolis MainStreets Partnership, along with information on Girl Scouts and how to qualify for the Maryland Heritage Badge.  

Then at noon on Sunday, March 25, all Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are invited to a special Maryland Day Flag Raising Ceremony at Susan G. Campbell Park.  Senator John Astle will supervise the lowering and retiring of the current United States, Maryland and City flags and the raising of new flags by local Scout troops.
