APD Daily Report 07/29/14

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 111 calls for service and arrested 11 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400003779 – 1200 block of Gemini Dr – 07/27 at 9:40pm to 07/28 at 6am:  The vehicle’s window was shattered to steal a grey purse from the front driver’s seat. 

Thefts from Vehicles – 201400003781, 3782, 3783, 3784, 3788, 3793, and 3796 – Unit blocks of Woodward Ct, Muir Woods Ct, Landings Ct, and Copley Ct – 07/27 at 11pm to 07/28 at 6am:  Four unlocked vehicles were entered in The Landings community.  Items stolen include money, a black and silver Dell Latitude laptop in an Etronics bookbag, a brown Louis Vuitton cosmetic bag, a white Apple iPod, a blue Apple iPod, and a black leather wallet. Two other unlocked vehicles were entered, but nothing stolen.

Watch Your Bike Program
So far in July, there have been 18 bicycles reported stolen in Annapolis.  The Annapolis Police Department has a Watch Your Bike program.  The program records your bicycle's serial number, manufacturer, and color in our database.  Annapolis residents can contact Cpl. Craig Medley at 410-268-9000 ext. 7225 or cemedley@annapolis.gov for more information.  Neighborhood associations can contact Cpl. Medley if they want to hold a community registration.

Green Dot MoneyPak Scams
Watch out for Green Dot MoneyPak scams. Recently an Annapolis business was scammed by a caller asking for payment for utility bills by Green Dot MoneyPak cards. National Night Out 2014
