APD Daily Report 11/04/13
In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 365 calls for service and arrested 29 people.
Stolen & Recovered Vehicle – 201300005318 – 500 block of Royal St – 10/31 at 11pm to 11/01 at 1am: The same Ford E350 van which was stolen between 10/29 and 10/30 was stolen again. The van was recovered parked and unoccupied in the 1900 block of Lincoln Dr on 11/01. Once again it is unclear how the van was stolen as the owner said all keys to the vehicle are accounted for and there was no sign of forced entry or damage to the vehicle’s ignition. The owner was given advice again on different ways to secure the vehicle.
Theft from Vehicle – 201300005324 – Unit block of Sandstone Ct- 10/31 at 5:45pm to 11/01 at 11am: Money was taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Theft of Bicycle – 201300005331 – Unit block of College Av – 11/01 from 1pm to 2pm: A white Lighting racing bicycle was stolen from a bike rack. The bicycle was not secured with a lock at the time.
Burglary – 201300005342 – Unit block of Windwhisper La – 11/01 at 7pm to 11/02 at 12:49am: Three rifles, a handgun, 1,800 rounds of ammunition, and a Sea Life underwater camera with a large plastic case were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry to the home.
Armed Robbery – 201300005346 – 400 block of Hilltop La – 11/02 at 2am: The adult male victim was walking home when two suspects approached him from behind and struck him on the head. One suspect had a handgun and pointed it at the victim demanding his cell phone and money. The victim gave the suspects a black HTC Cricket cell phone and a red and black backpack containing a white Apple iPhone, a Samsung cell phone, money, and a black Dell laptop computer. The suspects fled on foot down Hilltop La turning right onto Tyler Av. The victim did not report the robbery till the next morning.
Burglary – 201300005356 – Unit block of Juliana Circle – 11/03 at 1:30am: The homeowner heard someone open the unlocked rear patio door and when he went to investigate he saw a juvenile run out of the house through the same door. The homeowner followed the juvenile and called police. Officers arrived and took the juvenile into custody. The juvenile was referred to the police department’s JOINS program for first time offenders.
Burglary & Armed Robbery – 201300005361 – Unit block of Victor Pkwy – 11/03 at 2:15am: The adult male and female victims were asleep in their residence when they were awoken by two male subjects. One of the men pointed a handgun at the victims and demanded money. The men took money, two cell phones, and a house phone then fled. The victims drove to another location and then police were called. The male victim was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, treated for injuries and released.
Shots Fired – 201300005363 – 1900 block of Copeland St – 11/03 at 1:13pm: Police Communications received multiple calls for shots being fired in the area. Two residences were struck by bullets, but no one was injured. No victims or suspects were located.
Armed Robbery – 201300005364 – Unit block of Melrob Ct – 11/02 at 12:04pm: On 11/02 at 4:30pm two juvenile male victims reported there were approached by three men. One of the men had a handgun and demanded the victims’ property. The victims turned over their cell phones and the three suspects fled the area. The victims waited four hours to report the robbery to police.
Missing Adult – 201300005366 – 1900 block of Copeland St – 11/03 at 3pm: Montina Johnson, 39, of Annapolis was reported missing from Copeland St. Ms. Johnson has possible medical problems. Ms. Johnson goes by Tina and sometimes uses the last name Brewer. She is an African American female, 5’6”, 220 lbs, with shoulder length black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue or black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. She frequents the Safeway on Forest Dr, CVS on South Cherry Grove Av, and Shoppers Food Warehouse on Old Solomons Island Rd. Police sent out a CodeRed notification to the surrounding neighborhood and checked the wooded area around Copeland St by helicopter. Please call 410-268-4141 if you see Ms. Johnson.
