APD Daily Report 07/26/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 89 calls for service and arrested 12 people.

Good News - On 07/25 citizens helped police apprehend a 16 year old boy from Annapolis who snatched a phone in the unit block of Cathedral St.  A woman was sitting inside a business with her cell phone lying on the seat next to her when the boy snatched the phone and ran out of the business.  The woman alerted citizens as the boy ran down Main St and a citizen gave chase catching the boy at Duke of Gloucester St and Green St as police arrived.  The cell phone was returned to the woman.

Armed Robbery – 201300003486 – 1200 block of Graff Ct – 07/25 at 5am:  An adult male was robbed at knifepoint by a subject known to him.  There were no injuries and the suspect left after taking the money.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300003495 – 500 block of Taylor Av – 07/24 at 10pm to 07/25 at 5:30pm:  A convertible top to a vehicle was cut and an XM satellite radio receiver was stolen.

Vehicle Equipment Repair Orders
Beginning August 1, 2013 Annapolis Police Department will conduct vehicle equipment repair order inspections Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm at 199 Taylor Av.  If you need to have a repair order inspection completed please respond to Annapolis Police Department during those times.
